Ljepota tih palaca, brojnost crkvenih spomenika i njihovo bogatstvo svjedoče o burnom i nadasve uspješnom pomorskom razvoju ovog kraja u prethodnim vjekovima. Naročitu ekspanziju Dobrota je doživjela u 18. vijeku, kada je pomorska trgovina bila u najvećem usponu. 1717. godine Dobrota dobija status pomorskog grada. Od kakvog je to bilo značaja može se vidjeti iz podatka da je Dobrota 1726. godine imala 715 stanovnika, a 1748. godine broj stanovnika se popeo na 1665.Ove činjenice su važne kada govorimo o Dobroti i cijeloj Boki jer pomorci koji su tu živjeli, osim bogatstva, donosili su tu i cijeli svijet. Donosili su kulturu, upoznavanje sa drugim običajima i narodima, kulturu poštovanja suživota sa narodima drugih vjera i konfesija i poštovanje tuđih bogatstava, kultura i običaja.Zbog svega toga živjeti u Dobroti je prava privilegija, jer svaka njena stopa odiše mirnoćom i prirodnim skladom.Kotor is a town located beneath the mountain of Lovcen, at the bottom of the bay of kotor which is one of the most beautiful Fjords in the world. The bay is one of the many jewels Montenegro is proud of. It is valuable and significant for the whole world and is under protection of UNESCO since 1979.The house whose one part is on sale is located in Dobrota, 1.5 km (less than a mile) from the old town of Kotor. It is placed on a little hill just above the highway that leads from Kotor through Dobrota, Perast, Risan, and other smaller towns to Herceg-Novi and Dubrovnik.The house was built in stone, at the end of 19th century. Then, it consisted of the ground floor, first floor and the attic with one room and a dormer. Photos from 1910. and 1938. testify of the appearance of the house and its dormers. During the restoration in 1980. the dormer and the room in the attic were removed. The house has a front yard with a beautiful view of the bay and environment, a small garden and a water well. Housing area is 75 m2 and the yard is 191 m2.The neighborhood in which the house is located is peaceful, it is surrounded by private homes (there are no major residential buildings). Below the road there is a hotel which is privately owned. Near the house there is the health center, a kindergarten, an elementary school, the high school and the students dorm.The beach is 50m from the house, and along the coast of Dobrota there is a beautiful promenade 7 km (4,34 miles) longFrom 1959 untill recently, former owners lived a happy life in the house. Registrated owners are three sisters who have family homes in Dobrota, Tivat and Krasici, and decided to sell the house following the death of their parents.In the immediate vicinity of Kotor, along the northern coast of the bay, in a series of small settlements in the length of 7.5 km, lies Dobrota, a place of seamen and shipowners.This small village had, in 1553., together with Ljuta, a village north of Dobrota total of 200 inhabitants, and today has about 9000 inhabitants.Numerous baroque mansions and houses of naval families of Boka are located on the seaside. In 1717. Dobrota obtained the status of a maritime city.The importance of that can be seen from the fact that in 1726. They brought culture, learned about other traditions and nations, they brought the idea of respect for the coexistence with people of other faiths and religions and respect for other people
